Eva Zethraeus (Swedish, b. 1971) is a Gothenburg-based ceramic artist celebrated for her intricate porcelain sculptures that balance abstraction and organic form.
Drawing inspiration from marine organisms, Zen gardens and microscopic life, her works explore growth, repetition and the subtle irregularities found in nature. Each element is individually hand-thrown, then assembled and repeatedly glazed and fired, resulting in complex, finely structured compositions that feel both delicate and alive.
Zethraeus holds an MFA from the College of Design and Craft at the University of Gothenburg. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is represented in major museum collections, including the National Museum in Stockholm, and the Röhsska Museum, Gothenburg.
